Delicate White

Olive and I went on a 1.6 mile walk after work tonight. We met: a big fat rottweiler who would have rather sat and snuggled with Olive in the middle of the walkway than run with its owner; a wiener dog running alongside its owner's bicycle; a giant fluffy horse dog walking an owner half its size; and a little girl with a pink helmet on a pink bicycle who proclaimed her love for Olive.
It was a beautiful evening to be outside.
There are trees all over Anchorage that have these little white flowers all over them. I have no idea what they are, but I do know that in a few weeks they will be raining white petals all over everything. But for now, they are beautiful.

yes, we have those here too, i think. they get all over everything when the petals fall. our buddy has a couple of them on the side of his property, near the driveway, and one day i made the mistake of parking at his house with the windows and sunroof open for several hours. when i came back, my whole car was full of those little petals.
at least they're not as bad as crepe myrtles. i hate those things.
