:|: 24nov03 : yellow racing car

I was in a bright yellow hot racing car; B was driving it around our neighborhood. We took corners really fast and had a great time. B had a title, something about the Man From Nowhere. We then saw someone in a car very similar to ours, except it was black. This person was bad, and their title was something like the Place From Nowhere – his title was bigger than B’s title.

We tried to lose him but the black car kept gaining on us. I looked behind us and saw a police car in front of the black car – we couldn’t get caught by the police. In front of the cop car was an old muscle car… all three were following us.

:|: 23nov03 : acting preparation

I walked into a huge room that looked like a gymnasium. I was going to be acting in something, and I needed to prepare for it. I pulled a towel off of my head and saw that the hairdresser had bleached it platinum.

He handed me a spray bottle filled with water and told me to wet my hair. I asked if he really wanted me to use the spray bottle – it would take forever to get my hair soaked with it. But he insisted, so I sat down, flipped my hair over my head, and started at the nape of my neck. After an hour, I finished the bottle, but only half of my hair was wet.

As I waited for someone to refill the bottle, the makeup girl came over and put some cream blush on my right cheek while another lady sat on my left and watched. She smudged the blush with her finger down around the corner of my mouth, and then started to put a different color on my left cheek.

I wouldn’t let her – I told her that they were both the wrong colors, and she completely missed my cheek. I was running out of time, but makeup wasn’t going right.

:|: 23nov03 : jean's wedding

My neighbor, Jean, was going to get married that afternoon. I didn’t know what the groom looked like so I broke into her apartment and grabbed his picture off of her table. She walked in and caught me, then broke down crying on my shoulder. She wouldn’t tell me what was wrong.

Back in my apartment, I looked left and saw the chairs all set up for the ceremony; it was going to take place in the apartment building’s laundry room. B and I were helping with setting up the chairs and decorations, but we couldn’t stay because the wedding was scheduled at 2:00 and we had to get to church.

:|: 23nov03 : bloody underwear

I sat at a pick nick table with Damon and two teen boys that I knew and kind of liked. The two boys were engrossed in a conversation and absently played with a pair of underwear that I recognized as my own. The panties had semi-fresh bloodstains on them from my period.

I was mortified. I felt I should tell them they were touching bloody underwear, but I didn’t want to admit that it was mine.

Then I was in a store with a large group of teens; we were having a competition to see who could spend the least in the store. I bought a big box of oil for my car and a few other things. At the checkout line, I end up having the pay the debts of a few people in my group because their name was on my shopping list.

I was very upset that, because of having to pay these debts, I wasn’t going to win the competition. But I paid anyway, and then bought a few things for one of my friends. With all my stuff in the car, a friend and I drove through suburbs and passed a deserted Kmart building.

We then passed a mall that had huge holes in the walls. The building was dilapidated, and we could see straight through it. On the other side of the building, people were wading in the ocean surf. I was a bit surprised because it was cloudy and not a very warm day.

:|: 21nov03 : demon fires

I was standing next to my waterbed in a large room filled with a lot of people sleeping on cots and in sleeping bags on the floor. There were two people in my waterbed – B and a demon. The demon was built large and had long hair and a beard like a biker might. He got up to use the restroom and I slid into the bed close to B. The demon got back into the waterbed; I was grateful that he had allowed me to be in the bed.

The room blew up like a bomb had exploded. I was observing outside of the situation, so I apparently wasn’t still in the bed during the explosion, but I knew B was still sleeping in there and was probably now gone. It made me sad, but I didn’t cry.

I was then on the roof of another house with a few men; it was early morning. I could see that a water truck was driving down the road and was about to collide with a gasoline truck parked at a stop sign. We were able to get the gas truck to move and avoid the water truck, but instead the gas truck crashed into the house.

The building exploded from the collision and went up in huge flames. I knew the teen girl sleeping in the room in the back left corner, and she died in the explosion. I was very sad about that.

While the house was still on fire, a group of demons, all male, jump out of the flames and land on the room with me. They were all unharmed from the explosion. They talked about the fire with the man I had originally been standing with – he must have been the leader of their pack. The group of demons were bad, but I wasn’t scared of them.

I stood in front of the burly man who allowed me into the waterbed, but then he shifted positions and I was behind him. I was on the edge of the group and the roof, so I inched forward and leaned over his left shoulder trying to be a part of the discussion.

:|: 15nov03 : time travel, avalanche

I was walking up a hill with Ryan Derry towards some familiar building – either my home or the home of someone I knew. We heard seven huge pounds and then the earth shook us to the ground. After the quake was over, we looked up and saw that some trees had been knocked over by the show.

I asked if there had been an avalanche, and he said it must have been; it missed us by a few feet. We walked over to the snow-made path and found that the snow was very hard and much easier to walk on than the path we were currently on.

A bit further up the mountain we saw a snow machine track that crossed over the avalanche path. It went to the left while the avalanche path kept going up. I wanted to take the snow machine path, but the snow was much softer and deeper there - it was very difficult to walk on.

We got back on the snow's path and followed it up the mountain. At the top we met up with some old classmates - Jessica, Briar, Nadia, and some others. We looked down the other side of the hill and saw the avalanche path continued down this side as well. Jessica complained that this valley smelled like sulfur. After she said that I agreed with her, but knew that we had to go down this side of the hill. We slid down the hill on our butts.

At the bottom, we were in the elementary school hallway. This was where we had started from - we had gone back in time to before the avalanche. I looked at Ryan, and he was very alarmed. I gave him a big kiss as he ran into his classroom.

I went down to the kindergarten classroom and passed Mr. Ladd, the teacher - I was his aid. He asked me to start without him because he had something to do before he could go to class. I went inside the room and sat with a line of kindergarteners.

Abi was five years old and twirling around in her tan dress with some logo on her chest. She was very proud of what her dress said - it was about some accomplishment she had done. One little boy couldn’t read it and was making fun of her, but she was still very happy about it.

I was sitting against a closet door. I opened the door and saw a Jr. High student sitting in the dark near tears. I knew that she had experienced the previous avalanche with the rest of us. I told her to stay in the closet and to not look out; she will be safe in there.

When I looked back to the room, the classroom had split in two. The half the kindergarteners and I were on had not changed, but the other half had shot into the air by 15 feet or so, creating a sheer cliff. Mr. Ladd was perched kind of on the edge of the cliff.

He slammed his feet into the edge of the cliff seven times to get his footing and get over the tall edge. I immediately knew this was the seven booms Ryan and I had heard before, and I knew that Mr. Ladd had planned this entire thing.

I looked up to the top of the cliff and saw Mr. Ladd on top of a white and black spotted horse - of the horse all I could see was a bit of its behind. Mr. Ladd looked to his left and said, "Come on, honey," and took off. I told Ryan about this, and he asked if he had called his horse honey, or someone else. I think it was someone else - Mrs. Ladd, perhaps.

I was so angry that he had left all of the kids behind. I knew that the avalanche was coming any second. I glanced back at the closet door on my right and saw that the hallway door was open only a bit. I called into the hallway and Lacey came back inside the room. I scolded her for running away, then turned to Damon and told him that I had brought her to keep her safe. He told me that he had brought Seby, too.

:|: 15nov03 : favorite chair

A woman and her husband moved into the apartment down the hall and invited B and I over to see their new contraption. I had to sit in the La-Z-Boy to properly see it, and the woman turned to her husband and asked him (loud enough so that I could hear) if he was going to let me sit in his favorite chair. He shrugged like he didn’t care. She was mean and out to get me, I knew it.

Then I was in an old abandoned house with a friend. It had been empty for years. I carried a box upstairs to the bedroom and saw a tall woman with long blonde hair standing in the middle of the room. The wind was blowing through her hair even though there was no air moving in the house. She was a ghost, and I wanted to talk to her. But she didn’t acknowledge that I was in the room. She leaned against one of the bedposts and I wondered if she was going to attack me.

:|: 15nov03 : undone assignment

I was at Maria’s house with my high school friend Lynea. Maria gave each of us assignments typed out on paper and then left the house. We knew that she would kill us if we didn’t do our individual assignments. I really didn’t want to do mine – I felt a depressive, whiny I-don’t-wanna – even though it would have been relatively easy to finish the assignment.

Lynea finished her assignment and left the house. I held my assignment papers and considered leaving without doing them, but instead I hung around Maria’s house for a while. She was supposed to be back at 10:00pm, so at 9:00pm I finally decided to leave without doing my assignment.

When I stood up from the couch to go, Maria walked in the door. I hadn’t finished my assignment, but I didn’t tell Maria that because I was scared of what she was going to do to me. We left the house together – the night was clear and cool. I bunched the papers up in my pocket and hoped she wouldn’t notice my assignment was still left undone.

:|: 09nov03 : sound system

I was setting up a sound system in the back seat of Dana’s blue car. This was the first time I had ever set the system up, and I was worried about plugging the wrong stuff in. Dana kept asking me when B and I were going to have sex because we were on our honeymoon. I didn’t know.

:|: 09nov03 : sunset without camera

I was in my early teens and sitting in the passenger seat of my dad’s truck. We left home and he drove out towards the Spit. I was slumped down in the seat as though bored, but then I saw a very beautiful sunset of reds and oranges and wished I had my camera with me.

:|: 09nov03 : alternate route

I was driving south from Fairbanks with Beth. At the top of the hills just outside of town Beth asks me if I have ever taken the alternate route south. I didn’t know what she was talking about, so she points to the left side of the road where I see a road.

Beth tells me to take the alternate road, so I pull onto the road and park at a rest stop. The pullout overlooks a large bay of bright green water coming from an iceberg. There is a set of stairs leading down to the water – this is Beth’s alternate route.

On top of the concrete steps, I notice that they are not connected to anything. Each step hovers hundreds of feet over the water. Lacey is now with me, and I am trying to watch her so that she won’t fall off the steps while I make sure I do not fall.
